Separately, it should be noted that preoperative preparation is very important in the work of an orthopedist, since we correct acquired and congenital deformities of the limbs. That is why we use a new technology – patient specific instrumentation (PSI).

PSI is a preoperative knee imaging technology used to assess the general condition of the limb using computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

As a result, we get an ideal three-dimensional (3D) model of the limb. With the preservation of the patient’s anatomical features, computer software helps to create a three-dimensional individual model (template) of the femoral and tibial components of the endoprosthesis of the optimal size. In turn, this reduces the operation time by 30-40 minutes, reduces the patient’s stay in anesthesia, significantly reduces surgical blood loss and shortens the time of physical rehabilitation.
