Robotic surgery

Modern medical care is based on the use of new high-tech methods of treatment with guaranteed effectiveness, among which, one of the leading places is occupied by robotic surgery. IRIMI Group surgeons, together with our partner, MC Medical Plaza, perform operations in several surgical directions using the Da Vinci Surgical System robotic surgical system.

The Da Vinci robotic complex is an advanced technology in the field of surgery. It should be noted that the Da Vinci system does not perform operations on its own. The robot controlled by the surgeon is a tool that greatly increases the doctor’s capabilities, “improves” his/her vision (precision), accuracy of movements (preservation of the finest anatomical structures) and the use of various bending angles of the working part of the instrument (the ability to work in hard-to-reach anatomical areas). When using such a system, the surgeon performs the operation from the console. He/She sees a three-dimensional 3D image at ten to fifteen times magnification and controls the robot by means of manipulators that transmit minimal movements of his fingers to the instruments. The robot has four working “limbs”, and all of them have the mobility of almost 360º.

Robotic surgery means 7 planes of movement of a surgical instrument, which allows the surgeon to preserve nerve fibers and blood vessels with maximum accuracy. In men, this allows to preserve erectile function and urinary retention; in women – to maintain normal functions of the pelvic organs, sensitivity, secretory function of the glands of the vagina, innervation of the bladder. During operations on the intestines, it allows you to save the functions of the external and internal sphincter of the rectum. The Da Vinci complex has been actively and successfully used all over the world for 15 years to perform complex surgical operations in abdominal surgery, urology, gynecology and mammology.

IRIMI Group specialists performing operations using the Da Vinci system:

Our surgeons have gone through many years of mastering and improving surgical skills in open and laparoscopic surgery. Today, they perform complex surgical interventions in their surgical areas. The transition to robot-assisted surgery in our clinic was preceded by a long period of training and internships of surgeons in European training centers and clinics.
